I hope this message finds you well. My name is Michael, and I’m frontend developer. I’ve been deeply impressed by Miro’s intuitive design and powerful features, especially the way it handles object copying and pasting between boards.

I’m reaching out to kindly ask for your guidance regarding the clipboard data format used when copying objects from Miro. Specifically, I’m trying to decode the data-meta attribute (format: miro-data-v1) to integrate Miro’s copied content into a custom canvas tool while preserving object properties like text, shapes, and styling.

Thanks for reaching out about this. At this time, I’m afraid we don’t have official platform support for clipboard access in Miro. It’s a great suggestion, however, and I can appreciate the value it would have for running custom apps and scripts on the board.

If this is something you’d like to see an API endpoint or SDK method for in the future, feel free to submit this idea on our developer roadmap here—we’re always looking for ways to improve our platform:
